CAQG

The Charlottesville Area Quilt Guild is an umbrella group serving approximately 100 quilters in the area surrounding Charlottesville, Virginia. We meet as a guild twice a year and hold a public show of our work in odd-numbered years. Our six chapters meet weekly or twice a month. We host occasional workshops with nationally known teachers. In addition, we serve as an educational organization, preserving the art of quilting and sharing it with our community. We are active in many service projects providing quilts for comfort, beauty, and fund-raising efforts.

Membership is open to all. Our members range in age from the 20's to, well, quite a bit older than that. We welcome both beginners and experienced quilters. We gather for conversation, inspiration, working together and working separately. We help each other through the inevitable snaggles of quilting and life in general.

If you have questions about membership in our guild, contact our membership chairperson Sandy at 434-973-8480 or email her at bloodbanker@ comcast. net.

You'll find a membership form to print out here. Mail your form and a check to Sandy Clark, Membership, PO Box 6724, Charlottesville, VA 22906-6724. Make your checks out to CAQG.

We display our guild banner at our meetings and shows.
